Emerald Sod Farms (ESF) offers the following turfgrasses:
ESF Kentucky Bluegrass Blend
The Bluegrass Blend consists of four (4) different varieties/cultivars that
are highly successful on research test sites, and more importantly
proven to perform well in the Rocky Mountain Region, time and again.
These varieties, in combination, provide the best there is to offer
in natural dark green color, drought tolerance, disease resistance,
shade tolerance and density. Kentucky Bluegrass comprises 90% of
all turfgrasses used in the Rocky Mountain Region.

ESF Dwarf Type Fescue Blend
Fescue is a combination of three (3) varieties/cultivars of the best
seed available today. Fescue sod has slightly wider blades/leaves,
a lighter color green than Bluegrass, and with enough topsoil depth
and proper soil preparation, can grow roots almost twice as deep
as Bluegrass; thus once established and over time, can save water
if cared for properly. One drawback: if Fescue is severely damaged,
it will not re-establish like Bluegrass will.
